The St. Moritz International Automobile Week, from 2nd to 11th September, which traditionally ends with the uphill race for historic cars, the Bernina Granturismo, once again plays host to eClassic and its simulators.
The formula, which thoroughly deserves to be applied to other events, is to require all competitors to study the route and take part in a virtual race before the official practice sessions and the race itself, behind the wheel of the Pininfarina and Zagato simulators. The route, digitally mapped with uncanny precision, gives times that are very similar to those of the real race and is therefore really challenging. An important formula for two good reasons: no dangerous open traffic practice sessions and knowledge of the route with a negative environmental impact.
The host of the initiative will be the Grand’Hotel Kempinski – the headquarters of the event itself. Here, visitors will find the eClassic simulators for test runs and qualifications of the competitors from Wednesday 7th to Friday 9th. On the other days, and until September 19th, the eClassic lounge and its simulators will be available for visitors and enthusiasts who, upon request, will be able to enjoy an unforgettable experience behind the wheel of a Porsche RSR.
